HE is not gender neutral.
Gender neutral in the English language is defined as ‘phrased in such a way as to be applicable to either gender’
HE is by definition male and therefore cannot be gender neutral. Stating that HE is gender neutral is a contradiction in terms.
The person being referred to as HE was a SHE who is quite a bit smarter and has quite a bit more education than your average bear (or your average internet service provider employee, for that matter)
When the ‘gender neutrality’ excuse was thrown into the mix, SHE didn’t go running into the corner and weep bitter tears because she didn’t understand what gender neutrality was.
